My goal with this two painting set was to bring a sense of well being into the viewer’s attention. In an effort to express the feeling of a calm breeze, I have put a little sway into the elongated grassy leaves. In addition, it was my hope to render the placid sensation I experienced when focusing on certain areas of outside foliage in its many varieties. As my eye meandered from one kind of leaf or vine to another, everything else around would blur out. That is why in some of the segments you will see a discernible attention on one kind of flora while the background is blurred. There was comforting warmth from the sun on that day. The reds, yellows and golds in the art portray the sense of warmth. I have painted the greens along with the flora for the sense of comfort.
